Postural Assessment Workshop

Course summary:

This postural workshop introduces the concept of muscle imbalance and its causes. We discuss the 3 muscle layers that provide stability whilst producing movement, and from these we identify key movement patterns. Having this insight helps us understand and predict muscle imbalance, enabling us to treat the cause of the problem and not just the symptoms.

We identify ideal posture and cover the 3 common postural deviations, and link these to the pelvic and shoulder girdle force couples.

We will then run through a series of postural and movement assessments to enable us to identify the cause of the postural deviation and then prescribe a specific corrective strategy.
